I have mentioned the Global Coherence Initiative (GCI) in past posts, but I wanted to dedicate some time to them, as their collective has stepped up to help recovery efforts from the BP oil disaster.
What does Global Coherence mean?
They are trying to shift planetary consciousness through connected intentions of compassion and love. But they’ve added a key factor that interests me with these kinds of organizations: Scientific backup and ongoing experiments to prove that the power of intention works.
Not only do they recognize the paradigm shift in human consciousness, but they are answering the demand of individuals who desire to participate in creating a more balanced, compassionate world society. Rather than a passing trend, they see people and communities who want to step up and take the responsibility of planetary stewardship into their own hands.
How does group coherence change things?
Recent research from various Intention organizations has shown that the addition of a radiated intention of love, when added to an intention, creates a stronger shift in the outcome than without the added love factor. The folks at GCI have established a practice of “Heart coherence” which they describe as, “a state of energetic alignment and cooperation between heart, mind, body and spirit. In coherence, energy is accumulated, not wasted, leaving you more energy to manifest intention and harmonious outcomes. It adds order and increased effectiveness to whatever form of practice you are doing.”
Learning the technique
The GCI Web site is chock full of information on how to achieve Heart coherence. The personal benefits of this practice, as well as its global impact, are documented, tested, and proven effective in improving the health of the individual and the unity of compassion on the planet. I recommend signing up for a free membership and practicing the exercises they provide on the site. You’ll feel a shift to calm your days, and the group experiments are often enough to experience the unique sensations of group intention.
The exciting part: Science!
They are establishing a Global Coherence Monitoring System. It’s a series of sensors, located around the world, which, “observe changes in the earth’s magnetic field and test the hypothesis that the earth’s field is affected bymass human emotion, positive or negative.” There is extensive information on how all of this functions on the GCI Web site. This study of the relationship between the earth’s magnetic field, collective human emotions and behaviors, and planetary changes, is astounding. They’ve already documented major shifts in the global emotional field (more on this here – it is related to the Earth’s ionosphere and magnetic field), which predicted 9-11 (we all had a global premonition moments before it happened) and other catastrophes such as earthquakes and hurricanes.
If you’re wondering why they don’t rush to the media when they see the indicators going haywire for an event; let’s do a reality check. This is brand new science. I have a hard time convincing friends and family that global consciousness even exists. Imagine CNN’s reaction to “breaking news” from GCI. Someday, my friends. Someday soon. For the moment, you can stop watching fear-based sponsor-driven hype on your TV, and plug into the network of minds trying to change things for the better.

It’s time to stop getting angry over burning turtles (horrifying) and dead whales (first whale found dead in the Gulf today) and do some profound activism that will help heal the Gulf.
