Art and Quantum Physics
What does art have to do with Quantum Physics?
Quantum Physics has revealed an energy field at the base of everything we know called the Zero Point Field. The Field connects all aspects of the universe, and everything that makes up our reality. This is where all knowledge, action, and thought are connected. Imagine a web of energy connecting everything at the base level of all that is.
Our reality is the result of our thoughts
Particles of energy respond to our commands to create what we see. Everything we observe is the effect of collective thought on matter; particles are rearranged through the Field at our command. All things are made of the same energy and substance, reorganized at the whims of thought patterns.
We are constantly interacting with the Field
No thought is left unnoticed or unused by the Field. As we add our thoughts and actions to this ever-expanding body of history, we are woven into the fabric of its being.
Everything we see boils down to an energy that is interacting with the Field. We are all connected to the farthest reaches of the cosmos through the Field. We carry on a constant dialogue with the Field through our thoughts, consciously or unconsciously. We are always plugged into the Field, and our thoughts affect others regardless of our physical location.
The Field manifests similar thoughts
Because we operate in a collective consciousness, the more we learn, the easier it is for others to follow in our footsteps due to our imprint on the Field. We build on prior acquired knowledge. This is why we don’t have to recreate each day what we see as reality (our environment, our furniture, our family). The collective energy of the Field constantly stores all of our information and displays it as our reality. The collective mind of humanity is what we witness each day. Our collective thoughts tell subatomic particles what to form, what to mimic over and over again. This is reinforced by eons of collective thought processes. Each moment adds more knowledge, ideas and thoughts to our collective reality.
What does this have to do with art?
Your art, your creative actions, leave an imprint on the creative consciousness. Creative thought can create changes in the collective reality. That first impulse to make something, see something, do something, hear something, taste something, is where creation of your perceived reality begins.
Artists regularly exercise their creative abilities. When a performer uses their talents to alter their own reality, they in turn alter the reality of those observing the art. For example, when you witness a passionate performance, your reality is being altered by the creative thoughts emanating from the artist themselves. They change their reality and it affects yours. The performer’s consciousness alters the observer’s consciousness. You become involved in the existence of the performance’s temporary reality.
This is not exclusive to live performance. A painting, novel, or film can have the same effect. It affects your reality while you are a witness to it. Artists can tap into the Field through their craft, where their talents allow for a strong shift in thought patterns, and the result is a shift on the physical plane, or our reality.
Our challenge is this: artists, as well-practiced creators, can apply the same skills that create a temporary reality for an audience into creating a new reality for our world.
Many experiments have documented collective intention
Studies have been conducted with groups of individuals who directed their thoughts to a common purpose. These groups generated a kind of super-radiance, documented by instruments which measured the energy around the group. In another experiment, a Transcendental Meditation group in Washington decreased violent crime in their location by 24% during a group meditation. It does work, and from a scientifically measurable viewpoint, remarkably well. The Global Coherence Initiative is trying to measure worldwide positive intentions for peace. Lynne McTaggart, author of The Field and The Intention Experiment is conducting experiments with everyday people across the globe to test the impact of intention on reality. Her fascinating studies give me chills. Many of the sensations described in my fictional tale of The Creator State are exactly what some people describe feeling during her experiments. Gregg Braden, techie and spiritualist, has some excellent links on his site for your reference here. Masuru Emoto has repeatedly proven the effect of intention on water. This is one step away from applying practiced creative minds as creators of a new reality.
Art can change reality
The Field dictates what exists and what does not exist. Artists are strong candidates for using the power of creative thought to create change. If peaceful intentions are simultaneously projected on the collective consciousness while we create, we may be able to alter the world’s reality.
